The 2020 CPA Alberta Board and Regulatory Votes will soon be open. This year, there are five CPAs are running for two open positions on the CPA Alberta Board, including two current board members running for a second term. As well, there is a single proposed change to the Rules of Professional Conduct, regarding Rule 216, to harmonize rules related to commissions with counterparts across the country. The voting period for 2020 will be from August 24 until September 18.
In advance of the vote opening on August 24, you can become familiar with the Board candidates and proposed change to the Rules by visiting the CPA Alberta website. Then, when the vote opens, ensure you have your say and impact your profession by casting an informed ballot!
Watch for an email announcing the opening of the voting website on Monday, August 24. Results of the vote will be announced at CPA Alberta Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, September 23, which will take place virtually.
