Accountant needed for the Alberta Amputee Sports and Recreation Association

If you’re enthusiastic about sports, improving the quality of life of others, and helping your community, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Alberta Amputee Sports and Recreation Association (AASRA) in Calgary is looking for an accountant to assist with year-end reporting, provide letters of opinion, and occasionally offer advice to the AASRA board members.  AASRA uses Quick Books to manage its finances, which are held by Scotia Bank.

For almost 40 years, the AASRA has been a registered charity in Alberta dedicated to providing fitness opportunities and improving the daily lives of amputees. They believe that the quality of life for all amputees is enhanced through participation and interaction with other amputees, which improves one’s social, emotional, and physical well-being.  They provide moral support to new and existing amputees, both young and old alike. Approximately 227,000 Canadians live with amputation, and the AASRA is committed to furthering the rehabilitation of Albertan amputees by organizing and encouraging personal involvement in social and recreational activities.
