Three Alberta CPAs have recently been recognized for their work in strengthening communities and the important institutions in Alberta.
Steve Allan FCPA, FCA, of Calgary, is being honoured with the Alberta Order of Excellence. The Order is the province’s highest honour that can be bestowed upon a citizen, and is an official part of the Canadian Honours System. In addition to his work in the community, Steve has been active and dedicated to the profession. In recognition of all his accomplishments, he has been awarded Fellowship and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the profession, and has received the CPA Education Foundation Impact Award. Steve’s investiture ceremony for the Order of Alberta will take place in October.
As well, two Alberta CPAs are receiving honours from Athabasca University for their support of Athabasca University. Diane Davies CPA, CA and Colette Miller FCPA, FCA were both inducted into the Order of Athabasca University in June for in recognition of her outstanding dedication to Athabasca University during her term as a public member of the Board of Governors.
Congratulations to all three on these well-deserved honours.
