Must attend: Clint Malarchuk’s The Crazy Game

No job in the world of sports is as intimidating, exhilarating and as stress-ridden as that of a hockey goaltender. Now imagine doing that job while suffering high anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression, and having your career nearly cut short when a skate sliced across your neck. Clint Malarchuk, the famed former NHL goaltender, shares his extraordinary and heart-wrenching life story—which includes his long battle with alcoholism and a suicide attempt—at the CPA Assist Speaker Series events in Edmonton in Calgary this November. This is part of Clint’s relentless effort to help end the stigma of mental illness and to assist others who are suffering.

CPA Assist, in collaboration with Alberta Lawyers’ Assistance Society, is proud to host a three-part speaker series in 2016. These informative sessions on mental health and wellness will feature engaging speakers addressing topics that impact professionals in Alberta. This presentation is the third event in the series.
