Unwind with a fitness lunch session at Elevate 2019

Spring is officially here, and for many, that means spending more time outdoors, being active, and making healthy choices. As busy professionals, it’s not uncommon to push physical and mental health aside, but doing so can have a huge impact on our lives and how we perform on a daily basis. As a part of Elevate 2019, CPA Alberta and CPA Assist are hosting a series of fitness lunch sessions. These sessions will provide CPAs with an opportunity to focus on wellness and meet other CPAs in the process.

For information, instructor bios, or to register for a session, visit the CPA Alberta website.

Mindfulness 101

Edmonton – June 3  &  Calgary – June 5

There’s an old Zen saying that reads, “You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day, unless you’re too busy. Then you should sit for an hour.” As a busy CPA, however, it can be a challenge to find any time at all! Join Chrissy McGale CPA, CGA as she introduces you to the benefits of mindfulness and how to fit it into your busy schedule, and helps you find and master work/life balance through meditation and yoga practices. These practices have been linked to stress reduction and increased focus, and can be done at your desk or on the go. Come breathe, stretch, network, and reset for your afternoon. This session is open to both beginners and seasoned mediation and mindfulness practitioners alike.
